God with Us
and bear a Son, and they shall call His name
Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us."(Matthew 1:23)
Beloved! The Lord Jesus Christ came down to
earth to restore the relationship between God
and man so that God would be with us forever.
The Bible says, “Behold, the virgin shall be with
child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name
Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us”
(Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 7:14).
“And this is eternal
life, that they may know You, the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3).
The Father God desires you to know Lord Jesus
Christ and give importance to Him in your life.
He shall be Immanuel to you, all the days your life.
What does the name Immanuel signify?
Immanuel means “God with us”
Lord Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God promises us,
“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age”
(Matthew 28:20).
When the Lord is with you, you
shall be blessed tremendously and you shall have
victory in your life. God has chosen you before
the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).
The Lord of lords sent His only begotten Son
to the world to redeem humanity. He chose
Virgin Mary as the mother to beget this wonderful
and incomparable Son of Man. When the
Angel of God entered Mary’s house and said to her, "
Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women!" (Luke 1:28),
she was troubled at his saying, and considered
what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel
said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have
found favour with God.
Beloved! Mary had found
favour with God and hence was chosen to bear
the Son of God. Even as you prepare to celebrate
Christmas, examine yourself whether you have
given room in your heart for Christ to be born.
If not, kneel down right now and pray earnestly
saying, “Lord, there is no use of living this life
without You in my life. Let the purpose for which
You were born as a Man in this world be fulfilled
in my life. Give me grace to be filled with Your
presence always.” The Lord will surely listen
to your prayer, come and abide with you as
Immanuel and bless you mightily.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I thank You for coming down to
earth to become a sacrifice for me and to
be with me always. Lord, I am overwhelmed
by gratitude and Your love because the
scriptures reveal that You desire to dwell
with me as Immanuel all the days of my life
and bless me. I invite You into my heart.
Make me a holy person and help me to live
a life that pleases You. Fill my life with
blessings and joy and peace. I give You
all glory, honour and praise.
