who strengthens me.(Philippians 4:13)
- Dr. Paul Dhinakaran:
" Dear friend! Many times we compare ourselves with
others and miss out on our goal and the focus in life.
This kind of attitude is dangerous and it results in
bitterness toward others and we feel inferior of our
self to others. We develop a poor self image which
hinders us from using our talents well and ruins our
relationships. Our negative and suspicious approach
to life repels other people and damages their
personal relationships. The only way to overcome
this attitude is to look at ourselves through the eyes
of the Maker. The Bible says that God has created
each one of us in a fearful and wonderful manner
(Psalm 139:14). When we realize this truth and stop
comparing ourselves with others, then God will reveal
His plans to you and enable you to fulfill them.“Where
there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint”
(Proverbs 29:18). Dear friend! Let us not compare
ourselves with others and feel inferior to others. Let
us surrender our lives to the Lord and He shall enable
us to overcome our defeated self image, which will
not hinder us from pursuing the plan of God. Apostle
Paul who was a short and feeble man preached the
Gospel extensively says, “I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). God
chose you to confound the wise of this world and to
put to shame the mighty. You are precious to the Lord
and He promises you that you can do all things through Christ."
- Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I thank and praise You that
You have created me wonderfully and You have a plan for
me in this world. Lord, help me not compare myself with
others but to set my focus on You and on Your love.
Clothe me with Your strength and bless me in my
endeavours. I give You all glory, honour and praise.
Amen.
