SIMPLE
Beauty within the simle
As the wind flows through the trees
Just like the message among the words,
how simple can it be?
Open your eyes, squint and
see the lines before you,
how simple can it be?
Captured ideas within the ink of my pen
Why do we complicate it in the end?
A twist in the mind, a turn of the words
As you try to find the perfect substitute
for the perfectly simple words
I mock you as you try to struggle and trip over
the words that you placed
Just as the reader struggles to see
the light of your phrase
A picture painted by words
People struggle to see the meanings
beyond the surfaces
What if there never was one?
Why would the painter bury its meaning
within words meant for it?
